With almost two decades of professional experience, I know that the best work rarely emerges from rigid processes. I produce bespoke design solutions that draw from my diverse background in graphic design, visual arts, art history, and scholarship. My approach is to first understand your story and context and then craft visual language, assets, and systems that meet your needs and expand your imagination for what is possible.
My training includes a Bachelor of arts from the University of Winnipeg, a diploma in graphic design from HOlland College (P.e.i.), a Master’s degree from Regent College (Vancouver), and further studies at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.
“Steph Martens was the first designer who created something our diverse team all loved! From the new logo, to re-vamped information package and new signage – we look like a new and improved company. We are continuously working with Steph to tackle more design projects and we are all so happy with the quality of her work. We highly recommend Steph!”

“It was a joy to work with Steph on this project, which she conceived, designed, and executed brilliantly. The timeline was a complex project: spanning 2000 years of history and a global movement, it employed text and image to illuminate a single theme. My team and I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with her, as we proposed ideas and text, and she weaved it all together into a compelling, evocative, and striking portrayal of the word and witness of God across generations and continents. I am beyond thrilled with the result, and was so pleased with Steph’s work that I quickly engaged her work on another permanent display. Steph is inspired, skilled, professional, and a delightful person to work with on any project.”
