In the beginning
Initial challenge: to replace a library-entryway showcase that had fallen into disrepair with an attractive permanent exhibit that would honour the legacy of learning and thought that inspires the scholarship at this theological school on UBC campus. Working with set dimensions, I proposed a visual timeline that could be appreciated both up-close and from afar. Channel lettering and 3D panels were used to bring dimension to the whole display.

“It was a joy to work with Steph on this project, which she conceived, designed, and executed brilliantly. The timeline was a complex project: spanning 2000 years of history and a global movement, it employed text and image to illuminate a single theme. My team and I thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with her, as we proposed ideas and text, and she weaved it all together into a compelling, evocative, and striking portrayal of the word and witness of God across generations and continents. I am beyond thrilled with the result, and was so pleased with Steph’s work that I quickly engaged her work on another permanent display. Steph is inspired, skilled, professional, and a delightful person to work with on any project.”
